In marking this 40-year milestone, we acknowledge the complexity of this moment. In an ideal world, we would be celebrating the anniversary of a cure for this debilitating disease. Instead, as our relentless pursuit of the next life-changing treatments continues into its fifth decade, we choose to draw strength from the continued dedication of our community.
