Any media outlet or press representative (journalist, videographer, photographer, etc.) wishing to attend ECTRIMS 2024 must adhere to the ECTRIMS Media and Embargo Policy. Individuals and/or sponsors who violate these embargo policies may face sanctions including access restrictions to future ECTRIMS events.
ECTRIMS and/or affiliated trademarks and logos are the property of ECTRIMS. They may not be used, reproduced or associated with any article or press release without prior written permission of ECTRIMS. ECTRIMS does not make its press database or registration lists available to third parties.
To receive a press badge for entry to ECTRIMS 2024, media representatives must register as press online or onsite at the congress. Registration will be confirmed and access to the congress allowed following the review, validation and confirmation of submitted credentials (i.e. a valid press card or letter of assignment).
Members of the press may attend the congress lectures on a complimentary basis. Press registration is free and includes access to the hybrid congress including scientific sessions, exhibition and press material.
Embargoed materials as well as results and information related to sessions at any meeting or event organised by ECTRIMS are strictly confidential and may not be disclosed prior to the lifting of the embargo dates and information outlined below.
Regular Abstracts: 4 September 2024, 8:00 CEST
The full text of regular abstracts will be published on the ECTRIMS website 14 days before the congress, on Wednesday, 4 September 2024 at 08:00 CEST. Coverage of abstract data in satellite symposia or in press releases at the congress is permitted. However, additional data yet to be presented may not be included.
Late Breaking Abstracts: 18 September 2024, 08:00 CEST
The full text of late breaking abstracts (LBAs) will be published in the abstract book and will be available on the ECTRIMS website on the first day of the congress, on 18 September 2024, 08:00 CEST.
The titles and authors of LBAs will be available on the ECTRIMS website one month prior to the start of the congress (exact date to be provided closer to the date).
Coverage in satellite symposia or in press releases is permitted as of the first day of the congress. However, additional data yet to be presented may not be included.
Posters: 18 September 2024, 08:00 CEST
Posters will be available as ePosters from the start of the congress. The embargo for data contained in posters lifts when those posters become available on the congress platform.
Oral Presentations: The embargo for data outlined in oral presentations lifts at the start of the specific session.
All Other Embargoes: Beyond the general and late breaking abstract embargo policies, the embargo for all other data/insight released during ECTRIMS 2024 is on the day/time of the specific session.
Top Line Data: Journalists or sponsors wishing to issue press releases that contain no actual data related to the presentation but provide “top line” information for release in advance of the normal embargo date need the specific approval of the ECTRIMS Executive Committee, who may require changes in the text before permitting release. Filming, photography and audio recording are allowed at ECTRIMS 2024 following advanced permission via registration. Without this label, filming/photographing/recording will only be permitted in the following “free to record” areas:
Permission is needed for filming, taking photographs or making audio recordings in the following areas:
Filming in any other part of the Congress Centre is strictly prohibited.
Any film/photo/recording shall only be used for information and communication purposes and must mention the source of the material.
Artificial light may not be used during presentations. Flash photography at scientific presentations and plenary sessions is strictly prohibited. ECTRIMS 2024 personnel may interrupt any filming deemed disruptive or hazardous.
