To support the continued dialogue in advancements made in research affecting their work, ECTRIMS will host a live webinar “Wellness approaches to MS Care” on 12 May 2022, at 16:00 CEST.
This event is part of ECTRIMS’ three-part series on MS Treatment and Care Strategies for Nursing & Allied Health Professionals, and the first of its NeuroNetwork webinars designed to facilitate connectivity among the professional MS community.

About the Speaker: June Halper (MSN, APN-C, MSCN, FAAN) – Nurse Practitioner and CEO of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) – is a certified adult nurse practitioner who has specialised in multiple sclerosis since 1978.
She has published and lectured extensively on multiple sclerosis and its ramifications. She initiated the first certification examination for MS nurses in 2002 and for MS specialists in 2004. As early as 1995, Ms. Halper was involved in the development of clinical practice guidelines in MS. The CMSC has adopted a best practices model and Ms. Halper was involved in publication of models of comprehensive care, complex symptomatic management, and cognition, to name a few publications. (please visit www.mscare.org for a full listing). In 1995, the CMSC/NARCOMS patient registry was established under Ms. Halper’s leadership and support.
About the Moderator: Marie Namey (APRN, MSCN-e) – MS Nursing Consultant, Educator and Advocate; formerly with Cleveland Clinic Foundation – had been part of the interdisciplinary team at the Mellen Center for Multiple Sclerosis Treatment and Research at the Cleveland Clinic since its inception in 1985.
Ms. Namey retired from the Cleveland Clinic in 2020 after 35 years. She continues working in the MS field as a consultant, educator and advocate. She has published on topics of bladder and bowel function and adherence. She has been a member of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers since 1986 and has served as secretary, vice president and President of this organisation. She is a founding member and a Past President of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN). Currently she chairs the scholarship committee.
